Chloe Gosselin x DVF
When Chloe Gosselin met Diane Von Furstenberg as a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Finalist in 2016, she had no idea the friendship that would form between the two designers. “Diane has been empowering my career since we met”, Gosselin told Vogue. Their friendship reached new heights last week, as DVF hosted a Chloe Gosselin Pop-Up in her flagship Meatpacking store in New York.
The Pop-up kicked off with a cocktail event in-store, where guests could roam the iconic space, viewing Gosselin’s PF19 collection and signature styles. Guests included Alexi & Seth Meyers, Stylist Derek Blasberg, Alexandra Michler of Vogue, Drew Elliott of Paper Magazine, Designers Morgan Curtis of Morgan Lane, Alejandra Alonso Rojas, Eva Zuckerman of Eva Fehren, and Influencers Nausheen Shah, Samantha Angelo, and Ezra J. William.
Attendees even got quite the sight, when Von Furstenberg, the creator of the famous “wrap dress”, taught Gosselin how to tie her own DVF wrap dress. “She’s just real, that’s what I love about Diane so much”, said Gosselin. The opportunity to partner with one of the world’s most iconic designers was not lost on Gosselin. “Sometimes I have to pinch myself, because of course she is my friend, but she is also one of my biggest supporters”, Gosselin told Page Six.
For three days, DVF exclusively housed the Chloe Gosselin PF19 Collection in New York, which took over the shoe gallery inside the store. “It’s more than a pop-up, it’s about women supporting women”, explained Gosselin. Against the bright backdrop of iconic DVF prints, and empowering mantras such as “In Charge”, and “Fear is Not an Option” scattered about the store, Gosselin reflected about the importance of women working with, not against, one another. “As women, we have enough things that can tear us down. When we work together, we lift up all women, and I’m so grateful to be lifted up by someone as incredible as Diane”.
